Located next door to Courier's office at 211 Hackney Road, our coffee shop will serve fresh coffee and baked goods. To support the growth of independent makers, visitors will also discover products that are hard to find or see elsewhere from the best emerging food and drinks brands, plus a small selection of magazines.
Why are we doing this?
We moved into our new office in Hackney just over a year ago. In that time thousands of people have come down for launches, events and talks, and it’s cemented Courier's belief in the power of an incredible workspace and what an incubator it can be for our community. The coffee shop is a continuation of this ethos and will also serve as a pop-up events space, available for hire.
What to expect
Coffee from independent roasteries, starting with Brixton-based Assembly.
Pastries and baked goods from local, independent bakeries.
From the world of Courier we'll be selling our new book, Dream Businesses, and magazines from our 50-issue archive. There will also be merch: limited edition premium t-shirt with screen-printed back, notebooks and aprons.
On the deli shelves, we will curate an ever-developing selection of products, for customers to discover brands they've never tasted before. On the shelves to begin with we have Dr. Stings hot honey, Honest Toil olive oil, LAND chocolate, Fountain of Youth coconut water, GULP chilli oil and The Root Co East African ginger beer, and many more.
There's also a rotating selection of magazines from our favorite independent publishers.
